About Abbots Lodge Dental Practice

Based in Rustington, Abbots Lodge Dental Practice is fully committed to their patient’s dental health and happiness. From general dentistry to implants and whitening, Abbots Lodge provides a range of private dental treatments to patients in the West Sussex area.

Situation

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, Abbots Lodge decided to rethink the way they operate. Whilst their current system was previously fit for purpose, with all of the changes happening in the world it was time for a more flexible, cloud-based approach.

With a sister practice in Ferring – near Worthing – it was important that whatever solution we put in place enabled seamless communication at both practices, with minimal downtime.

Solution

Abbots Lodge met with their Yo Telecom Account Manager and talked through what they wanted their new system to do. We then worked with them, suggesting alternative options until we mutually agreed the best way forward.

In the end, we decided that a cloud based telephony system that functioned as a centralised switchboard would be best. This would ultimately improve their patient’s call experience and increase their staff’s efficiency.

 

Success

Key to the success of this upgrade was retaining their existing telephone numbers as these were very much known in their local area. Whilst they did have slight questions about whether this piece of work could be completed remotely during the pandemic, we were more than able to get them set up remotely. Following their seamless transition, they’ve experienced an increase in call volumes as well as happier patients and staff!

Of all of the features we provide to Abbots Lodge, they find call recording as well as having a fully interactive IVR suite of messages (which we record and manage), the most beneficial to their practice.
